Ironmonger Family Website

11 January 2009 By John Ironmonger
Welcome to the Ironmonger Family Website.

Today, it is just up and running and somewhat short of news, stories or anything really interesting, but they are coming.

The family is being recruited and the website development continues so all of us can share information and research of the family tree. Information will be collected and stored on living people in the family but it will not be displayed on the Family Tree pages. This is to protect our living relatives from any possible abuse of this information.

While this has been started by an Ironmonger, and the research is currently focused on the ancestors and descendants of Charles Henry Ironmonger, I know that a lot of other family names will quickly be connected. I hope that connections to other branches of the family will appear on our tree as it propagates the net and researchers find this work. Please send any information that you are willing to share by using the contact link on the left menu.

Some may ask why I decided to create my own web site rather than use one of the many existing services out there. I have no logical answer for this, but for me the building of the web site is as interesting and challenging as the research on the family. This way I get to design, and develop my own website and hopefully end up with lots of help from the rest of the family to research the genealogy.

Check back here soon for more information and updates.

RE: Ironmonger Family Website

Coming to you from the great state of Michigan, U.S.A. My father is David Lee Ironmonger, and his father was Floyd Ironmonger from Kokomo Indiana. I am currently trying to track down our heritage. I've read some very interesting , thought provoking information about our history. If it is remotely true than I am most humbled and at the same time excited as to our historical patronage. My inbox is runicforge@outlook.com, and I most welcome replies from my international family of Ironmongers.

Hi Kitty

While I have not connected my family with the Ironmongers you mentioned yet, I do hope to continue to make connection to other Ironmongers as I continue my research. Good luck with yours.

RE: Ironmonger Family Website

I descend from the Ironmonger from two lines of the daughters of William Ironmonger, who was married to Elizabeth Jones, their daughter, Francis Ironmonger, was the wife of Moredica Cooke, and their other daughter, Mary Ironmonger was the wife of Abraham Field. William Ironmonger was the son of Samuel Ironmonger and his wife, Bridget Cordray, and Samuel Ironmonger was the son of Samuel Ironmonger and his wife, Anna Lawson.

From reading the interesting information on your website, I rearlize that I descend from Emperor Charlamange, KIng Alfred the Graet of England, King Henry I of England, and the Magna Charter Baron, Sare de Qunicy, which is very interesting to me.

I am very proud to be a descendant of an ancient English family, who descends from the Saxons, after all every since a child, I have always loved to read stories about King Arthur, who knows we might be related to King Aruthur of England

RE: Ironmonger Family Website

I am learning so many interesting facts about the Ironmonger family that I am very proud to be a descendant of the ancient Ironmonger family. There are descendants of the Ironmonger family living in New Iberia, Louisiana in the United States of America
