Notes
Lewis Humphrey and George Humphrey are shown as living in the same house as William Ironmonger and Sarah Humphrey (Ironmonger) in the 1891 Census and are listed as Brother In Law.
Sarah and William divorced at some point. Hand written notes from Charles Henry Ironmonger (Sarah's son) say that Sarah was living in Leicester in March of 1919 when he returned from WW I while the rest of the family was in Corby. Not clear on the marital status at this point.
Sarah is reported to have had a Lolly (Sweets) shop in Corby and is reported to have spent time in Australia.
Passenger lists for the ship Baradine show Sarah Ironmonger leaving the UK in 1928 bound for Fremantle, Western Australia. List indicates she was a Shopkeeper at the time and her last address in the UK as c/o W. Ironmonger, High Street, Carly.
Passenger lists also show Sarah Ironmonger embarking from Fremantle, Western Australia on the ship Baradine run by P&O Branch Service and traveling to London UK. arriving March 22 1930. Sarah's intended address in the UK was recorded as Leicester. Her last permanent address at the time of arrival in UK was recorded as Australia and intended permanent address is recorded as England.
